SUMMARY

PEF is a not-for-Profit Organization, established in January 2009, with a vision to financially support underprivileged students for their professional education. Currently, PEF is sponsoring studies of 1,600+ students all over Pakistan. The students sponsored are enrolled in Bachelor Degree Programs for Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Management and IT disciplines. PEF has signed agreements with about 35 universities all across Pakistan and does not discriminate among students on the basis of gender, religion, creed and cast. Students are thoroughly screened solely on the basis of merit and need.

ACTION PLAN FOR PEF

The project aims to provide financial assistance to the deserving students in professional colleges and universities, in collaboration with Professional Education Foundation (PEF). There will be a minimum of 10 grants by UNAP.

Mukhtiar Ali

Mukhtiar Ali is doing his MBBS and is becoming a doctor to help others and make a difference in the society. When he enrolled in JSMU it was really difficult for his parents to bear the cost of the fees as they had moved from interior Sindh and the rent was a lot.

Muhammad Ahsan

Muhammad Ahsan is doing his MBBS from Service Institute of Medical Sciences, Lahore. He belongs to a financially weak family and faced many hurdles. When he got admission in the university his father had to sell of his belongings to pay for the fees and other expenditures.

Saba Imtiaz

Saba Imtiaz has recently graduated from Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore. She belongs to a middle class family. Her father is a government servant and is a single earning hand in the family as her mother expired in 2003.
